In this experiment the behavior of Alpha particles is observed when they fall on thin sheet of gold foil You can click on "Show Labels" checkbox to get familiar with the apparatus used in this experiment To observe the behavior click on "Start Emission" button You will observe the following : 1) Most of the Alpha particles are going straight without any deflection. 2) Some small number of particles are deflected by a small angle. 3) Very few paricles get deflected by a large angle. |
