AmritaCREATE, Amrita University, in collaboration with CBSE, conducted a teacher training programme on OLabs for School Lab Experiments at Peevees Public School, Nilambur, Kerala, on 26 August, 2016. Thirty-four science teachers from different CBSE Schools in and around Nilambur participated in the training programme.
Sindhu Saju, OLabs team member, explained the significance and benefits of OLabs in present day science education. During the demo session, she explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. Later on, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in computer labs.
After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants.
"OLabs is the best option, not only for students from CBSE, but also for the students from rural areas. The system is very effective and easy to understand. As a science teacher, I think the experiments are explained in an interesting way with videos and animations," commented Sanika K N, Yamaniyya English Medium School, Malappuram.
