AmritaCREATE, Amrita University, organized a one-day workshop on OLabs at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on 30 August, 2017. Forty-five science teachers from twenty-two schools participated in the workshop.
Suresh Dhandapani, staff member of AmritaCREATE, explained OLabs to the participants. During the demo session, he explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. The demo session was followed by hands-on session on OLabs, conducted in two batches. In the hands-on session, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in the computer lab of the school for one hour. After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants for future reference.
"It is a good experience to do project with not having the required material (go online). Very nice virtual lab and several experiments have been covered," commented by Neetesh Kumar, Science Teacher from KV 1, Arakkonam.
"It is a wonderful site for Maths teachers and students. Very useful for the students to learn the basics thoroughly,” commented by Usha Maths Teachers from KV No1 AFS.
"The OLabs programme was very useful. We can show experiments to students so that they can understand the concepts clearly," commented by Ranjini Maths teacher from KV CLRI.
