AmritaCREATE, Amrita University, organized a one-day workshop on OLabs at Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, on 9 September, 2017. Seventy science teachers from seventeen schools participated in the workshop.
Dr. V.S. Vishnu Potty, Vice-Chancellor, S.C.S.V.M.V. University, Kanchipuram, was the chief guest for the program. The workshop started at 10 A.M in the morning. Suresh Dhandapani, staff member of AmritaCREATE, explained OLabs to the participants. During the demo session, he explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. The demo session continued till 12 P.M which was followed by hands-on session on OLabs, conducted in two batches. In the hands-on session, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in the computer lab of the school for one hour. After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants for future reference.

"When the student wants to recollect the practical sessions, they do not have to go lab. They can directly go to OLabs website and try out the lab experiments online,” by GD. Kavitha from GHS School.
