AmritaCREATE, Amrita University organized OLabs workshop at different schools in Delhi from 7- 18 August, 2017, as the part of OLabs training programme. More than three hundred teachers from one hundred and twenty schools participated in these training programmes.
On the first day, Ms. Mohini Bindra, the principal of Ramjaas School, Delhi, inaugurated the training programme. Urvashi Kainth, the coordinator of the programme, gave the welcome speech. The principals of different nearby schools participated in the session. The training session was started by Rathnam Chenthamarakshan, Project Manager, AmritaCREATE. She gave introduction about OLabs and explained in details about the experiments in the website.
A demo on CCE was also done after the OLabs training Session. The whole program greatly interested the participants, evoked their curiosity and made them aware of the significance of OLabs in the present day curriculum.
The program concluded with distribution of labs cd and discussion session with teachers. "The concept is really good and useful. The students can perform experiments though online. They can try out experiments in home after completing their normal class sessions in school," commented by Ms. Mohini Bindra, the principal of Ramjaas School.
"Me and my school is using OLabs for the past two years. The concept is really useful for both teachers and students. Especially the simulator part help the students to work out the experiments online. Really innovative and Interesting concept," commented by Kalpana Varma, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Vasanth Kunj, Delhi.
The AmritaCREATE team visited different schools in Delhi such as Amritavidyalayam Saket, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.-2, Delhi Cantt, Kendravidyalaya Vasanth Kunj, Amity international school, Mater Dei Convent school, RKLM Girls Sr.Sec. School and Chowgule Public School New Delhi and conducted OLabs training session for the teachers in the school. "
