AmritaCREATE, Amrita University organized OLabs workshop for the first time at different schools in United Arab Emirates (UAE), as part of the OLabs training programme. The programme held from 11- 22 September, 2017. More than one hundred teachers from several schools participated in these training programmes.
The training session was initiated by Rathnam Chenthamarakshan, Project Manager, AmritaCREATE. She gave introduction about OLabs and explained in details about the experiments in the website.
A demo on CCE was also done after the OLabs training Session. The whole program greatly interested the participants, evoked their curiosity and made them aware of the significance of OLabs in the present day curriculum. After demo session, OLabs hands on session were also held for the participants.
The program concluded with distribution of OLabs CDs, discussion and feedback session with the teachers.
"I have been using OLabs since 2 years. The concept is really useful for both teachers and students. I had some issues accessing simulator part at times, but after this workshop the issues were rectified and now I can make use of Olabs to my students in full swing," commented by Muhammed, the teacher of Grace Indian School.
"Include separate login for parents and teachers, so that they can monitor the student activity and make sure the series of experiments are performed by the respective student in timely manner," commented by one of the participants of the training programme.
