AmritaCREATE, Amrita University, organized a one-day workshop on OLabs at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ludhiana, Punjab, on 19 August, 2017. Twenty science teachers from thirteen schools participated in the workshop.
Chandrashekhar, staff member of AmritaCREATE, explained OLabs to the participants. During the demo session, he explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. Later on, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in the computer lab of the school for one hour. After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants for future reference.
"An innovative lab for teachers as well as students to perform the experiments at any time without holding the actual apparatus. Also with this lab, it is possible to demonstrate the experiments for a large group of students. At the same time, repitition and recapitulation work can be done effectively with this lab," commented by Aravind Kumar, JNV Sangrur.
