A Workshop on OLabs at Hill Blooms School, Wayanad

AmritaCREATE, Amrita University, in collaboration with Wayanad Sahodaya, conducted a teacher training programme on OLabs for School Lab Experiments at Hill Blooms School, Wayanad, Kerala, on 18 February, 2017. Fifty science teachers from twenty-four schools participated in the training programme.

Sindhu Saju and Ashish Mohan, OLabs team members, explained the significance and benefits of OLabs in present day science education. During the demo session, the team explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. Later on, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in computer labs.

After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants.

"Good work. The website is really helpful and motivating for students and creates interest among them to do lab experiments," commented Dhiji K, Kristuraja Public School, Kalpatta

"The class helps us to compete with students in better equipped schools and bridges the digital divide and geographical distances," remarked Soumya K C, Modern English School, Kellur.
