AmritaCREATE organized a one-day workshop on OLabs at The Spice Valley Public School, Bodinayakkanur, Tamil Nadu, on 7 January, 2017. Eighty- three science teachers participated in the workshop.
Suresh Dhandapani, staff member of AmritaCREATE, explained OLabs to the participants. During the demo session, he explained how to perform an experiment in OLabs virtually. Later on, the participants got the opportunity to explore OLabs in computer labs. After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were given to the participants for future reference.
"The session was really interesting and useful. I am sure students and teachers will be fascinated by this website. OLabs is very easy to use and handle. Even though, the experience of performing an experiment in real lab is different, the website helps the students to understand more about an experiment", commented by G Karthik, Bharathi Vidya Mandir.
"Now a days, the students are more interested to do online activity learning. Therefore, the website will induce the students’ interest,” commented by M Vijayapriya, The Spice Valley Public School.
"OLabs concept is very nice. In our school, we have smart class but it shows only videos but OLabs help the students to improve their understanding and learning capacity”, commented by D Noorul Mufina, N S Public School.
